California State University, East Bay is one of seven CSU campuses that will be allowed to accept California freshmen applications for fall 2008 until March 1 as the result of a decision by the CSU Office of the Chancellor. The university is the only Bay Area CSU that will accept freshman applications after Feb. 1.
"This is great news since it will give us one more month of to collect applications beyond the deadline of Feb. 1 given to most other CSU campuses," said India Christman, director of communications in the CSUEB Office of Planning and Enrollment Management.
Non-resident freshmen, including out-of-state and international students, may still apply to Cal State East Bay according to the normal application timeline.
California resident freshmen must submit their application for admission by March 1. Students still have time to complete their application file and be reviewed for admission after this deadline.
Students and high schools are being notified of these changes.
