Local Youngsters Get Early Taste of College Life
Through a variety of programs and activities, hundreds of pre-teen and teenage youngsters from throughout the region have been getting a preview of college campus life this summer at Cal State East Bay. Among them were 74 girls and boys who took part in the Summer Algebra Academy sponsored by the University’s Educational Foundation and Student Affairs Division. The classes they attended provided a solid foundation of basic math principles and skills covered in most Algebra 1 classes. While on campus, the youngsters demonstrated what they learned for CSUEB President Mo Qayoumi, other CSUEB administrators, and their guests.
