May 6 Master Plan Forum for Neighbors Open to University Community
Members of the university community are invited to attend a public forum on Tuesday, May 6, on the Hayward Campus Master Plan, currently in the initial stages of development by a committee representing students, employees and representatives of the city and the Hayward community.

The forum will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the New University Union and will be similar to the two noon master plan forums held on the Hayward Campus for employees and students on March 11 and 12. The first hour will focus on long-range planning issues as land use, student and employee housing, traffic circulation and parking, student services, and sustainable development. The second hour will be used to discuss the environmental impact report.

The master plan committee is being assisted by consultants from the BMS Design Group of San Francisco and Jim Zavagno, university planner in the Office of Facilities Management and Planning.

Members of the committee are Carl Bellone, associate vice president for Academic Programs and Academic Studies; Shawn Bibb, vice president for Administration and Finance/CFO; David Cain, associate vice president in the Office of Facilities Management and Planning; Kevin Callahan, professor, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science; Jay Colombatto, executive director of University Communications; Cathleen Coulman, director of Student Health Services; Susan Daluddung, director of the Office of Community and Economic Development, City of Hayward; Linda Dalton, vice president for the Division of Planning and Enrollment Management; Ola Dokun, president of Associated Students, Inc.; Dave Larson, chair/professor, Department of Geography and Environmental Studies; Stan Hebert, associate vice president, Division of Student Affairs; and Mike Mahoney, CEO of St. Rose Hospital.
